Owen Orgill is a consultant at Studio 08 Consultants. He has over seven years of experience in the door
and hardware industry. Owen began his career in the industry working for a major door, frame, and
door hardware manufacturer with a unique eighteen-month apprenticeship learning all aspects of the
Division 08 industry. Following the apprenticeship, Owen spent the next few years living in the mountain
west where he consulted on hundreds of projects throughout the western United States. Owen later
relocated to the Carolinas to continue a consulting role with the same major manufacturer in the
Raleigh market. He worked closely with design professionals consulting on door and hardware
specifications and served as a subject matter expert in that market. Owen is actively involved with CSI,
DHI and the USGBC.
